Welcome to Foundation Stage!

Mersey Drive Foundation Stage unit consists of two classes (Nursery and Reception).

When children are 3 years old they start in the Foundation Stage Unit part time (morning or afternoon) and progress to full time hours in the reception class in the year in which they are five.   

The unit has both indoor and outdoor areas which are planned around your child’s interests and learning. We follow the EYFS curriculum and each child has their own learning journey for parents and teachers to contribute to.

We take the children on trips into our community and use these visits to enhance our learning!

Staff are always available to answer any questions and if new parents wish to visit our exciting and friendly unit please do not hesitate to contact the school!
