Welcome to Year 1 - Mersey!

Year 1 is an exciting and important year! The children learn through fun practical experiences that are both play-based and structured assisting their transition from Foundation Stage to Main School. We have a theme curriculum, all our work is linked by an interesting topic and we focus on using skills throughout this learning journey. Children's thinking, communication and social skills continue to develop in Year 1.
