Parent Guide to Learning Platforms

We use a number of different platforms and sites to support your child in their online learning.  These can all be accessed through a phone, tablet or computer.  

Doodle

There are 4 separate apps for Doodle learning: Doodle Maths, Doodle Tables, Doodle English and Doodle Spell.  They can be accessed by following the link below.

Although the children will need to use all four apps/websites, they only require one username and password. Work will be added by teachers to their Doodle accounts each week and should be completed each day.  Children should select ‘I am a Learner’ when using the website to be taken to their login screen. When asked to login they should select to login as ‘myself’. When the children log on to any of their Doodle apps, they will see the Doodle home screen:

Read Theory

Read theory does not have an app, though it can still be accessed from a smart device or computer at the following web address: www.readtheory.org    When the children first log on, they will be asked to complete a 20 minute quiz to set their reading level.

If children answer incorrectly, Read Theory will explain why the answer given was incorrect and focus on those question types in greater detail with new extracts. Teachers can monitor progress and children can see their reading score increasing with each test answered. 

Seesaw

We will also be using Seesaw to set learning, further information about our daily plan can be found on our Remote Learning section of the website.
