Welcome to Mersey Drive Community Primary School

On behalf of the children, staff and governors we are delighted to welcome you to Mersey Drive Community Primary School. Mersey Drive is an inclusive, happy and welcoming school committed to providing the highest quality education for all our pupils. Our dedicated staff and governors work together to ensure that Mersey Drive is a special place where all children can fulfil their potential in a positive, nurturing and safe learning environment where they feel valued and cared for.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
Through our aspirational ‘Believe to Achieve’ ethos, all pupils are encouraged to strive for academic and personal excellence, and every child’s individual talents are developed and celebrated. Mersey Drive is a school where differences are valued, diversity is celebrated and equality is positively promoted. We strive to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and are able to participate fully in school life.
We support our children to; be flexible, be creative, be proactive, solve problems, make decisions, think critically and communicate their ideas effectively.
We are committed to ensuring strong foundations in literacy and numeracy which empower our pupils, enabling them to achieve ambitious goals.  Our curriculum has been carefully designed to engage and stimulate our childrens’ curiosity about the world ensuring that they become highly motivated, enthusiastic learners who flourish academically, emotionally and socially. At Mersey Drive the needs of our children are always at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure equal opportunity for all, through providing exciting learning and enrichment experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom. 
Our motto: ‘Enjoy learning; aim high!’ is embedded across all aspects of school life.
We value working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that our children develop the confidence, skills and resilience needed to equip them to go onto the next stage in their education and beyond. We strive to know our community as best we can and use this knowledge to plan for the needs of individuals.
