Clare's Law

The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, often referred to as Clare’s Law enables the police to disclose information to those who feel they are at risk of domestic abuse.  Clare’s Law gives those who feel at risk of domestic abuse the right to ask for information about your current or ex-partner; and you have the right to ask if you see information that suggests a person might be at risk, or you are worried for a friend or relative.  If the police hold information which could protect that person, they will tell them, or tell the most appropriate person to keep them safe.
