At Mersey Drive Community Primary school, our high quality PHSE curriculum is driven by the SCARF programme. Our curriculum provides relevant learning experiences for our children which will help them to navigate their world and to develop positive relationships with  others. The Mersey Drive PHSE curriculum is designed with a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health to support our children to advance their emotional awareness, concentration and focus. It provides opportunities which   develop a sense of self-worth through playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community. Pupils learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society. Our PHSE curriculum supports pupils to become healthy, independent and responsible and equips them with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to tackle the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
